Stems:
Trunk erect, terete, bark blackish brown, with protruding brownish streaks of lenticels. Branches pseudoverticillate, lateral branches spreading horizontally into distinctive layers, tiered into whorls, hence called as “pseudoverticillate”.

莖:
主幹直立，圓柱狀，樹皮黑褐色，上有凸出褐色的皮孔條痕。枝條假輪生，側枝橫向平展、分層明顯，排成一輪輪，故稱之「假輪生」。

Leaf:

Often 3 to 7- fasciculate on the apex of short branches, obovate, papery, subsessile, sparsely crenate on margin. Midveins prominent on both surfaces, with conspicuous glands at axils of veins.

葉:

常3至7塊葉叢生於短枝頂端，倒卵形，紙質，近無柄，葉緣具疏圓齒。主脈兩面凸起，脈腋具明顯的腺體。
