The Estates Office is responsible for the upkeep of campus landscape including planters, green walls, lawn areas and gardens, etc. The daily maintenance of planted areas is undertaken by a professional outsourced landscape maintenance contractor.
The Man Lung Garden was established in 2000 on Ho Sin Hang Campus and currently displays more than 30 penjings (bonsai) donated by Dr. Wu Yee-sun, the Sha Tin Bonsai Association, and the Hong Kong Bonsai International Society. Please click here for detailed information.
The Sculpture Garden is situated on G/F of the Lee Shau Kee Communication and Visual Arts Building, Baptist University Road Campus and is open to the public. The Sculpture Garden features a large-scale sculpture entitled “The 1 Static Leaves 2010” (風和氣逸) created and donated to the University in 2010 by world-renowned sculptor and the University’s 2010 honorary doctor Dr. Van Lau (文樓博士).
There are over 300 trees, covering more than 40 tree species, on the University campus. Tree surveys and risk assessments are conducted regularly.
The University has developed lawns, green terraces, green walls, and planters on campus to enhance the campus environment, promote sustainability culture and cultivate a relaxing and enjoyable surrounding for staff and students.
Planters are built on flat roofs, podiums and exterior facades of the campus. Seasonal plants/flowers are provided to support functions/events.
