Main trunk comparatively short, branching relatively low, bark grey. Branchlets stout, glaucous.

Leaf:

Suborbicular to ovate-orbicular. Petiole peltate, leaves shaped like a shield. Palmate veins 9 to 11, branched from petiole. Apex acuminate, base round and obtuse, margin entire or obscurely serrulate, texture papery.

• Dioecious. Inflorescence many-branched, paniculate, pale green. About 11 flowers clustered in the axil of bract for male inflorescence. Flowers solitary in the axil of bract for female inflorescence. Bracts leaflike, ovate, green, base concave adaxially in a shape of hood, margin fimbriate.

• 雌雄異株。花序多分枝，圓錐狀、淡綠色。雄花序約11朵花生於苞片腋內；雌花序花單生於苞片腋內。苞片葉狀、卵形、綠色，基部內凹成兜狀，邊緣流蘇狀。
