To support Hong Kong’s sustainable development goals and promote the adoption of green transportation, the University is pleased to announce the upgrade of its electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities on the Kowloon Tong Campus.
Starting from 14 September 2026 (Monday), medium-speed EV chargers (7 kW) will be available at the following locations (see Appendix A):
• Car Park A : 9 parking spaces
• Car Park B : 34 parking spaces
• JC3 Car Park : All 30 parking spaces
The charging service fee schedule for medium-speed EV chargers is as follows:
Charging fee : $2.50 per kWh
Minimum charge for each session : $20
To access the charging service, users should:
• Update the HKBU Mobile App to the latest version on or after 14 September 2026 to enable the Smart EV Charging feature.
• Bring their own charging cable with IEC Type 2 AC connectors.
• Follow the step-by-step instructions in the User Guide (see Appendix B). The User Guide is also available at the charging stations.
The terms and conditions of using the EV charging service are provided in Appendix C. Please note that all parking spaces, with or without EV charging facilities, are provided on a first-come, first-served basis for holders of a valid University parking permit.
The University will continue to expand and enhance EV charging facilities across its campuses in phases. During the transition period, a limited number of standard chargers (13A sockets designated for EV charging) will be available at Car Park C, CVA Car Park and FSC Car Park (see Appendix D) until upgrading works for medium-speed chargers will be completed tentatively by 2027/28.

為配合香港可持續發展目標及鼓勵綠色出行，大學將在九龍塘校園提升電動車充電設施。
由 2026 年 9 月 14 日﹝星期一﹞ 起，以下停車場將會提供中速電動車充電器﹝7 千瓦﹞ ﹝參閱附件 A ﹞：
• 停車場 A ： 9 個車位
• 停車場 B ： 34 個車位
• JC3停車場 ： 全部 30 個車位
中速電動車充電服務收費標準如下：
充電服務費 ： 每千瓦時 $2.50
每次充電最低收費 ： $20
使用電動車充電服務，用戶須：
• 於 2026 年 9 月 14 日或之後，將 HKBU Mobile 手機應用程式更新至最新版本，以啟用 「智慧電動車充電﹝Smart EV Charging﹞」功能。
• 自備符合 IEC Type 2 AC 規格的充電線。
• 按照用戶指南﹝參閱附件 B﹞中的步驟使用充電服務。用戶指南亦可於充電車位查閱。
請參閱附件 C有關使用充電服務的條款詳情。所有可充電及非充電泊車位會採用 先到先得 形式，供持有有效大學泊車許可證的人士使用。
大學將分階段持續擴展及提升各校園的電動車充電設施。在過渡期間，停車場 C、停車場 CVA 及停車場 FSC 內﹝參閱附件 D﹞會提供少量標準充電設施﹝指定用於電動車充電的 13A 插座﹞，直至中速充電器的升級工程預計於 2027/28 年度完成。
