Dear Students and Colleagues,
We would like to inform you that a fire drill at KTC has been scheduled for the week of 15 April 2024. Details of the drill are as follows:
Type: | Unannounced fire drill |
Date: | Any one day from 15 to 19 April 2024 |
Time: | Anytime from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
Duration: | Approximately 30 minutes |
A. Your assembly point
1. ____ | The assembly point will be at the open area beside the Annex Block of KTC. |
2. | Please be familiar with the fire escape plans which are posted in the common areas of each floor and the route to the assembly point. |
B. Your actions for the drill
1. | When you hear a fire alarm: | |
_ | a. | remain calm and suspend your work/meeting/study, etc. immediately; |
| b. | alert others, leave the building and go to the assembly point using the nearest and safe exit or staircase. DO NOT USE LIFT; |
| c. | follow the instructions of fire captains and campus security guards who will assist during the evacuation; and |
| d. | walk, do not run, especially when travelling on staircases. |

| |
| a. | follow the signage and line up at the assembly point; |
| b. | report to your fire captain if you find anyone missing during the roll call; and |
| c. | do not return to the buildings until the campus security guards declare that it is safe to return to the building. |
