Redressing the Lion Dance Student Workshop

Redress誠邀香港的可持續時裝設計師參與一個創新項目，名為「召集:再生舞動獅潮」。項目以升級再造的紡織品製作舞獅服裝，將本地非物質文化遺產與可持續性時裝融合。團隊將和成立超過90年歷史的「夏國璋龍獅團」合作，確保作品能真實展現舞獅文化的意義。是次活動將邀請來自創意產業的學生交流與設計師交流，讓他們深入了解製作過程、舞獅文化。

Redress is launching a project, Redressing the Lion Dance, that invites Hong Kong sustainable fashion designers to create lion dance showpieces using upcycled textiles. The initiative, in collaboration with Ha Kwok Cheung Dragon and Lion Dance Team, aims to merge cultural heritage with fashion sustainability while ensuring authenticity. Designers will also engage students coming from creativity industry to learn more about the production, lion dance culture and get to work with our designers.

活動簡介 Workshop Activity: 

14:00 - 15:00 「夏國璋龍獅團」介紹本地舞獅文化及服裝 Ha Kwok Cheung Lion Dance Troupe to introduce Lion Dance Culture and Costumes 

15:00 - 15:30 設計師介紹可持續性時裝及其設計理念 Selected designers to introduce themselves and their concepts and sustainability consideration for lion dance costumes

15:30 - 16:30 四節活動 - 設計師與同學一起動動手，一起合作加工及處理回收衣材 Four Sessions will be arranged and Students to join hands with designers to process and cut up-cycled garments and learn about the production 

16:30 - 17:00 學生分享、設計師問與答、大合照及問卷調查 Students Sharing, Q&A with designers, photos and survey
