A preliminary move-out inspection will be arranged with the resident about two weeks before the actual move-out date to determine if any reinstatement works are required in the apartment.
The utility meter for electricity, water and gas are under the registered name of the University. The Estates Office will record the final utility meter readings during the moving-out inspection and calculate the utility charges on a pro-rata basis.
The resident is required to cancel the telephone/fax/IDD line(s) and settle all the telephone/fax charges before moving out.
Except for the furniture and appliances provided by the University, the resident is required to remove all his/her furniture, belongings and household appliances, which include but are not limited to washing machine, drying machine, etc. from the apartment.
The resident is required to clear all his/her possessions and clean up the quarters at a reasonable level. Otherwise, cleaning charges will be deducted from your deposit.
A move-out inspection will be arranged on the actual move-out date in order to:
